Sex in Your City DVD and Resource Booklet now available

The Sex in Your City DVD Resource Booklet is now available  for free  to professionals in Leeds working with young people in Years 9 and above. The Resource Booklet has been designed for use with the Sex in Your City DVD which was developed and released by the Teenage Pregnancy and Parenthood Partnership in early 2010.

The Mix Young Parents Group

A young parent's group is being held every Saturday, 2-4pm at Hawksworth Wood Children's Centre. The group is open to any young person aged 13-19 and they will have the   opportunity to meet other young parents, gain new skills and help the baby's social development. YSHAG - Young Sexual Health Action Group

YSHAG are currently looking to recruit new members for their group and would like to hear from any young people interested in improving sexual health services in Leeds for young people. 

Any young person aged between 13-19 is welcome, whether because they are interested in becoming a peer educator or just in joining the group. The group does lots of activities such as:

- C Card

- Health fairs

- Attend and organise conferences

- Train professionals

- Design leaflets and posters

- Go on residentials

- Provide information to other young people

SARSVL - Support after rape and sexual violence Leeds helpline

Support After Rape & Sexual Violence Leeds (SARSVL) supports women and girls who have been affected by sexual violence at any time in their lives, promoting their needs and working towards the elimination of sexual violence.  For the past year the SARSVL Steering Group has been developing a completely new support service for Leeds, and, as the first stage, a telephone helpline has now been launched.

The helpline number is 0113 2021844 and opening hours are Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, 6 – 8pm, with plans to extend these in due course. Further information about SARSVL can be found at www.SupportAfterRapeLeeds.org.uk
