A breakdown has been released of the socially-beneficial commitments BAM is making under the terms of its agreement with the council to build the Leeds Arena.

This morning, joint council leader Andrew Carter announced that BAM Construction UK, would be the preferred contractor for the new arena, which will be built off Claypit Lane.

30/10:  Arena to boost jobs in Leeds.
The arena, which will be located on Claypit Lane in Leeds, is forecast to protect more than 100 jobs in the local construction industry.  In addition to this, the £55m construction will create an extra 100 jobs for local residents and potentially 90 apprenticeships.
